Although it’s stepped to the side after its incredible debut year of 2018, the Nike Air Max 270 has managed to do what most annual Air Maxmodels can’t: stay relevant. At the time of its unveiling, it was touted as having Nike’s tallest Air unit ever but was overshadowed just a year later by the Air Max 720. Still, the lifestyle trainer kept delivering an incredible run of lifestyle options that boosting its popularity and cemented a spot in the long-term plans of the Swoosh. Though it stepped aside for other silhouettes to shine in 2020, the sneaker had been quietly building a solid run of releases in the background. It now appears that the run will continue into 2021, with the next pair to surface festive fit for the Easter season.
Anchored in a light beige mesh, the pair comes popped with vibrant hues of pink, and, and volt against black — a common contrasting color found in the long history of Easter-themed footwear. Colors work back in one continuous line, with streaking pink midsoles joining tonal rear overlays, sandwiched between orange Air and volt pulls. Blacks hit the tongue, liner, and outsole, as well as the branding detail throughout, save the volt flash at the tongue.
