The Mowabb is Reborn in Bowfin
The Nike Air Max 270 Bowfin is a strange-but-intriguing combination of two enormously differing phases of Nike’s history.
The ultra-modern 270 Air unit — borrowed from this year’s Air Max 270 — gives the sneaker current-day appeal, but the body shape, versatility and color palate are all attributed to Nike’s classic ACG range. The latter might no have been instantly recognizable for some, but this new colorway won’t be unfamiliar. Any OG ACG fan, all the way down the casual wearers of the range will recognize this iconic combo of beige, orange and purple that’s unmistakably owned by the Mowabb.
The base color is tan/beige, while the upper’s manic material medley of mesh, nylon and ripstop, rocks a color combination of purple, orange, black and grey. Purple carries across from the midfoot overlays to the toggle lacing system, and is matched with a perforated tan midsole — safari-style. Talk about 90s influence! It’s capped off with an oversized orange Air Max unit and paired with rugged black outsole.
These new Mowabb-flavored Bowfins are scheduled to hit Nike.com later this year for $160..
