Though you thought it would have dipped by now — as has been the case for many annual Air Max models — the Nike Air Max 270 has soldiered on. With its popularity unwavering, the silhouette has continued to perform well for the Swoosh’s lifestyle segment, pinned down to sleek design, ultra-comfort, low price points, and versatile colorways. Now, as we edge closer to Spring, the silhouette has begun to surface in a handful of new schemes, the next of which is one of the first to incorporate the brand’s Grind Rubber material.
Here, a familiar white mesh upper works with tonal tongues, laces, and midsoles for a staple setup. From there, pops of blush pink, beige, and pastel green gear the back end, before moving to semi-translucent forefoot overlays flecked with the aforementioned rubber. There’s a bigger instance of it on the underfoot traction pad that sits nestled on an island between lilac foams and black rubbers to complete the design.
