Not everything that Travis Scott touches turns to gold, it seems — at least for the Nike Air Max 270 React ENG. The overzealous arrangement never took off as well as Nike had hoped post-La Flame, undoubtedly lost in the mainstream sea of Dunks, Air Maxes, and Jordan 1s, but it has still been delivering low-key bangers in the background. This next-up “Hyper Crimson” can’t be considered “low-key” thanks to its eye-popping use of charcoal black and vibrant orange-red in a simple split upper/lower blocking. Up top is a tonal arrangement of not-quite pure black, complete with 3M accents across the waves and branding hits, whilst underfoot is an all-out assault of the titular Hyper Crimson.
