When it comes to Nike’s dual-cushioned Air Max 270 React, we don’t know where their aesthetic lays. One day we unveil a range of earthy, tonal takes, the next a vibrant color bomb that looks like a Super-Soaker for your feet. Then there’s this basic black, white and grey option that, despite its lack of color, is still striking in every way. But regardless of the line’s lack of thematics, there is one thing that’s for sure: the silhouette can pull literally anything off.

Here we see the pair revert to its original synthetic makeup with not an organic fiber in sight. Organic is the wavy overlays, though, which are here utilized to the extreme through blocking and layering to create an upper that’s both busy and balanced. White bases come covered in streaking blacks and greys, with the latter also gracing the eyelet details and Air unit supports. Underfoot is a staple white and black sole unit combo to complete the design.
