While we await the release of the OG “Infrared”and “Laser Blue” Air Max 90s for its 30th Birthday celebration, Nike has been busy dishing up retro-inspired editions that almost feel like you’re smack bang at the start of the 20th Century’s last decade. From the debut six-pack of Infrared-blocked drops to Air Trainer-homaging releases, it certainly feels like we’ve stepped back in time. This pair, too, feels authentically 90s, with the saturation knob turned down on the original pair’s famed red-orange hue — as if someone left the OG out in the sun too long.

Essentially an Orange-Infrared, the pair swaps out the OG’s title color for Orange, like so many of the releases thus far in 2020. White mesh, tongues, and midsoles, along with black leather mudguards and Particle Grey toe-to-vamp overlays remain consistent with the original, with retro tongue tags completing the design.
