Few people these days will remember the Nike Tailwind ’92 — hell, I barely remember it due to is prolonged absence from the market. Eleven years it’s been since we saw the OG Tour White/Yellow/Crimson, last arriving in stores late 2008, but with this Tailwind ’92-themed Air Max 90 Essential surfacing this morning, is it possible — just maybe — that we might be getting an accompanying release of the inspiring pair? 🤞🏽

But even if we don’t see the OG return, I’m still hella excited about this AM90, which has tacked on a little more black than its predecessor, but still, the resemblance is uncanny. Like the Tailwind, it rocks a white mesh base, overlayed with black, white and crimson leathers, and vivid Tour Yellow Swoosh and tongue branding. The Air Max 90 adds in extra black overlays across the lower laces and toe, but has kept the black liners, white midsoles, red Air support shanks, and two-color outsoles, although the latter has been flipped to predominately black with crimson red at the toe.
