Nike Air Max 95 “Black Neon” is an Ode to the OG

The OG Air Max 95 “Neon” has been celebrated in countless ways during the quarter-century since it released, from Ultras to alternate colorways, there’s so much that can be done with the silhouette’s iconic mix of black, grey, and neon — it even graced an Air Jordan 4 back in 2020. Once more, the Swoosh will celebrate the icon, with 2022’s Air Max 95 “Black Neon” the latest installment in a homage-packed series.

As the title suggests, the pair is anchroed around a jet black base, with ripstop uppers and tongues met by alternating overlays in smooth and textured greys. One is clearly intended for water resistance, the other a soft nubuck. All of this rests atop an all-black sole unit, complete with neon Air supports. OG-inspired branding rests at the tongue, with added ribbon overlays joining insole detailing in vibrant green capping off the design.

A release date for this new Air Max 95 “Black Neon” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com during the Autumn season.
