Fall is right around the corner, and that means one thing for sneakerheads: Flax Footwear Season. There are a few staples you need in your rotation for Autumn, namely Timbs and the Air Force 1 High/Mid/Low Flax, but don’t discount Nike’s Air Max range from supplying some seasonal bangers. And with this Air Max 95 in Wheat/Black on the way, the flax season ahead looks favorable.

Rocking a wheat-colored ripstop base, the pair ushers in tonal netting to lock down the stark black lacestays, before wrapping it in a plush, nappy wheat suede. Overlaying that is three different material overlays — all in black — the uppermost in fine nubuck, the middle in rough-textured leather, and the lowermost in a browny-black oiled leather. The latter continues over the toe, with the dark hues continuing onto the entirety of the sole unit — save the University Red Air support shanks. Red arrives again on the tongue, heel, insole, and lateral ankle branding, and the design is capped off with black tongues and liners, and a smooth tan leather tongue overlay.
