Coming off a strong second half of 2020, a year in which it celebrated its 25th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 95 has continued to sprinkle releases throughout its 26th year — the next of which ostensibly looks to a classic colorway from Nike’s epic Powerwall collection of 2006. Donning an identical palette to the revered “BRS” Air Max 1from that collection, this earth-friendly variation of the Air Max 95 both nods its predecessor whilst delivering its own spin in the same breath.
Here, instead of a mostly dark, muted presence, the all-new Air Max 95 opts for uppers of mostly sail, while its mudguards and surrounding color accents provide the pair’s character. Toe caps, tongue overlays, and lowermost profile panels arrive in a familiar shade of tan, while eyestays channel the Air Max 1’s popping pink Swoosh. There are few pops of green throughout, namely the tongue tags, insoles, and mini Swooshes, but add more than enough oomph to the pair’s theme. Underfoot is relatively simple, with white midsoles housing pink Air supports, and a staple black rubber outsole completing the design.
A release date for this BRS-inspired Air Max 95 is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
