More Monochrome Maxs Make Their Way to Market
Over the past 22 years, Christian Tresser’s Air Max 97 has been worked over a thousand times, in every conceivable color combination possible — but they keep on coming back to black (and white).
The intricate layering of the 97 allows a multitude of color blocking options — seemingly infinite, which is probably why these feel brand new — this time utilizing dual waves of white textile against an upper draped entirely in black — consisting of mesh, leather, and suede. The secondary hits of white arrive on the thick white midsole, outsole and visible Air unit, as well as tongue and insole branding, the rear heel pull and the side Swooshes. 3M hits ride along the tongue trim and upper waves to finish off this monochromatic Max.
A release date was not attached to the official image set below, but you can expect a release to arrive on Nike.com over the coming months for the standard MSRP of $160.
