The Air Max 97 is no stranger to metallic finishes. That, of course, can be attributed to the silhouette’s debut “Silver Bullet” colorway back in 1997. Thanks to the significance of the OG colorway, each and every year we see a slew of made-in-metallic 97s — and you can now add one more to that ever-growing roster, with this Metallic Copper rendition set to touchdown this Fall.

This pair pulls strong inspo from a famed colorway of another 1997-made silhouette, the Foamposite One, matching it through full copper uppers, and black tongues, liners, pulls and midsoles. Unlike the Copper Foams, though, the midsoles arrive in jet black, and branding hits arrive in clean whites. Mesh underlays sport a metallic-like finish, with the lower three panels go H.A.M. on the shine. The two uppermost overlays and tongue detail cap off the design in a 3M reflective finish.
