USA-Themed Air Max 97s Release Today!

Adding to the ever-growing Air Max 97 roster comes this USA-themed edition, but it’s not listed for a Fourth of July release.

The star-laden sneaker sports a patriotic mix of Game Royal, University Red, Midnight Navy, and White, with callouts to the nation’s flag arriving on the wavy overlays, midfoot cut-in and tongue detailing. Navy mesh serves as the base, and provides the hue for the top two overlays, lining and pulls. A lighter Game Royal hits the mudguard and lower 3M-covered overlay, with quick flashes of red arriving on a singular overlay and branding. “DDD” appears on the tongue and insoles — it’s meaning unknown, but it might explain why these Yankee-styled sneakers will be released well ahead of the nation’s biggest Summer holiday.
