The OG Nike Air Max BW “Marina” Returns April 19th

While many fans will immediately associate the “Persian Violet” as the OG colorway for the Nike Air Max BW, there were, in fact, a handful of other original options that arrived alongside it back in 1991. One of the lesser-known variants was the Nike Air Max BW “Marina” — a shoe that got it’s first-ever retro back in 2016 for the model’s 25th anniversary. The wait won’t be as long this time around, with the colorway set to return this year for its 30th birthday bash

Official imagery for the 2021 Nike Air Max BW “Marina” shows a straightforward re-release, with not too much separating this from the ’16 and ’91 releases. The shoe looks true to the original with a traditional construct of neoprene, mesh, and suede in blue, green, and white hues, its Big Window Air unit peers out from a Jade frame, with large Swoosh overlays arriving in a color-matched finish. Sole units retain their simple white and black arrangement, and the insoles even sport the OG International logo!
