Marseille's Nike Air Max Craze Is Limited to Just 1,013 Pairs

Despite its origins in Oregon, the Nike Air Max line has gone on to become cultural capital in cities across the globe. One such place that's adopted the revolutionary, visible Air technology as its own is Marseille. The French destination will soon receive its own Air Max Craze project.

Recently teased via the SNKRS app, the commemorative style is limited to just 1,013 pairs. It features the same white-and-blue color scheme found on the city's coat of arms. The "European Capital of Culture" lends its name and escutcheon to the swoosh-branded sneaker, which also appeared on the Air Max Plus "Marseille" from 2023.

In comparison to its predecessor, the Marseille-inspired Air Max Craze features a more reserved execution. Branding elements across the shoe indulge in a sea-reminiscent light blue, while the remainder of the 24-year-old design keeps things simple in white. Traditional branding on the top of the tongue and insole is replaced with special nods to the oldest city in France.

An initial look via the SNKRS app left the bulk of the sneaker under wraps, so expect an official unveiling to arrive soon. The "Marseille" Air Max Craze is likely to drop exclusively throughout France before summer ends.
