Although its sequel is set to debut in a few days, the Nike Air Max DN continues to emerge in new colorways. The latest proposal from the Swoosh family seemingly takes inspiration from one of the Alpha Project's most iconic designs.
While widely-associated with a Skepta collaboration from 2017, a 'Dark Charcoal/Celery/Saturn Red' color scheme was first introduced to the sneaker space via the Nike Air Tuned Max in 1999. The pair has since been retrod, but its futuristic debut look had long been kept in the archives, with some peeks at it launched throughout the years. Additionally, other silhouettes from the beloved Air Max series have taken on iterations of the 'Celery'-accented makeover, with the latest landing on the Air Max DN.
While clad predominantly in 'Off-Noir', the pair features tones reminiscent of 'Dark Russet' and 'Celery' across its upper and sole unit. The mix of materials throughout the top-half opt for a darker color scheme, although fuse panels above the midsole indulge in a copper-like contrast. Branding at the mid-foot and elsewhere enjoy a punchy green that also appears via the visible Dynamic Air bubbles. Traction underfoot is also animated in the vibrant hue, creating a style that's sure to find a cult-like following once it drops.
Enjoy official photos of the Air Max DN below. The shoe is priced at $180 and should hit Nike.com before June.
