Nike Air Max Genome “Sunrise” Confirmed for May 1st Release
The late 2000s and early 2010s were a hell of a time for footwear. The Free Run was running rampant, Nike Hoops was changing the landscape of performance-turned-casual footwear, and drops like the Galaxy Foamposite were making global headlines. What a time to be alive. If you’re like me and like to frequently reminisce over the good old days, then Nike has a brand-new footwear option for you; the Nike Air Max Genome.
Packing in Air Max elements from the period, the sneaker boasts full-length Air units redolent of the LeBron 8, outsoles that channel the aforementioned Free Run’s sectioning — and even rears that are reminiscent of the Nike Shox. Not to mention the uppers loaded with design cues from decade-old Air Max designs.
One of the first pairs to appear is this awesome “Sunrise” selection which pairs early-morning hues of pink and peach with piercing whites and a subtle touch of grey, too. Though the sneaker will release in men’s, women’s, and kids editions, it does appear that these will be for the ladies. A release date for the Nike Air Max Genome “Sunrise” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see these hit stores over the next few months. Until more news arrives, you can enjoy a first look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
