First Looks // Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Black Gum”

Touted as one of Nike’s most popular new Air Max models, the Air Max Pre Day has everything you want in an Air Max design. It’s light in weight, heavy on design, and boasts one of the most intriguing visible Air units since the introduction of VaporMax. It’s had plenty of colorways, too, but as with most sneaker designs, it’s always at its best — and sells its most — when it goes back to basics; and there are few colorways more preferred by the market than classic black and gum.

Delivered in a mix of mesh, ripstop, nylon, and suede, the pair’s bulk is built in black. There are smooth leather Swooshes, and pre-scratched heel and forefoot panels, too, with ripstop rears and tongues all resting atop a murdered-out midsole. The glorious gum outsole rests underfoot in the most obvious fashion to complete the design.

A release date for this brand-new Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Black Gum” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com soon.
