Nike Air Max Scorpion “Leap High” Celebrates Chinese New Year

After a blistering start, the Nike Air Max Scorpion has followed other recent Air Max models in laying low after it’s debut. But as the calendar has turned over to 2023, the audacious, bulbous-Air sneaker is seeing some sort of a resurgence. With incoming in-line colorways plentiful, it’s now found itself at the center of the brand’s Chinese New Year celebrations, with official imagery of the Nike Air Max Scorpion “Leap High” landing online this week.

Centered around a “Sanddrfit” and “White” woven upper, the pair continues the “Leap High’s” overarching themes of embroidered flower decal, jade mini Swooshes, special tongue, and insole branding, and marbled midsole pieces. Contrary to other releases from the collection, its color is subdued, subtle, and understated, with red rear pulls the only exterior instance of vibrance.

A release for the Nike Air Max Scorpion “Leap High” is expected to arrive before the Lunar New Year celebration kicks off on January 22, though specifics are currently unknown.
