The Swoosh Puts a Spin on the OG Nike Air More Uptempo

The Air More Uptempo first made waves during the iconic 72-10 season and subsequent '96 championship run when Scottie Pippen wore it, unofficially making it his signature sneaker. This year, the silhouette has experienced a resurgence, notably as a slide variant, demonstrating the model's enduring appeal in various forms. But it's the sneaker's original format — and the original Black/White colorway — that keeps the drive alive.

Earlier rumors of an OG retro for later this year may have taken a hit, as this forthcoming OG-inspired release could potentially be that pair, marking a slight disappointment for the old-school advocates of the silhouette.

This OG-inspired edition retains much of the classic design but with two notable modifications: an elongated white letter underlay trim on the profile sides and a black jewel Swoosh in the rear, replacing the OG's white. These details lend a fresh take on the well-loved design without detracting from its classic appeal.

Pairs are expected to be released on October 15th, 2023.
