The Air More Uptempo first made waves during the Chicago Bulls’ legendary 72–10 season and subsequent ’96 championship run, when Scottie Pippen unofficially made the bold-lettered sneaker his own. Since then, the silhouette has remained one of Nike Basketball’s most recognizable designs—most recently returning as slides and lifestyle variants—but it’s the original high-top that continues to define its legacy.

Following a string of retro appearances, the Air More Uptempo “Black/White” is now set for another comeback in Fall 2026. This restock keeps the spirit of the OG alive, blending nostalgia with subtle design refinements. The pair mirrors the original layout with its oversized “AIR” lettering across the upper, alternating between black nubuck and white leather trim. However, it also carries over modern updates seen in past reissues, including the elongated white letter underlay and a black jewel Swoosh at the heel—replacing the traditional white mark from the 1996 version.

While these tweaks slightly shift the vintage aesthetic, they don’t compromise what fans love most: bold branding, chunky proportions, and a design that perfectly captures ‘90s basketball energy. Whether for collectors or new fans, this latest drop reinforces the Uptempo’s timeless impact nearly three decades after its debut.

The Nike Air More Uptempo “Black/White” is expected to restock in Fall 2026 at Nike.com and select retailers.
