Nike Air Presto “Hike Nike” is Heading Your Way

From time to time you’ll find Nike looking introspectively at their own successes – and failures — from “Just Do It” collections to “The One Line” honoring releases. And while some — namely, the former — remain constants in the brand’s modern-day deliveries, others seemingly pop up at consistent-yet-random intervals. Take Nike’s “Hike Nike” series, the precursor to ACG. Though its history was only short, the Hike Nike and the Hike Man have probably been more famous than ever during the past few years, thanks to a slew of retro-inspired offerings. And right on cue, he’s appeared again, with this special-edition Nike Air Presto “Hike Nike” the next installment in the intermittent series.

Arriving in ocean hues of blue, green, and soft pinks against bold black and whites, the pair, along with its blocking and patterns, is maximal. From its polkadot forefeet leading into white collars, the pair continues a mismatched arrangement inspired by the titular character’s clothing, with black and green caging, bright white midsoles, striking orange Swooshes, and blue heel beds. Black toe caps and outsoles return the pair to some normality before pastel pink pops across the forefoot are employed to soften the aforementioned blacks. The pair is then completed by a hidden Hike Man on the insoles, smiling his signature cheeky grin.
