This New Nike Air Presto “Racer Pink” Borrows From Acronym’s 2018 Collaboration

Though it’s not what you’d call a collaborators dream, the Nike Air Presto sure has a hefty back-catalog of notable collaborations. From the retrospective and modern-day Hello Kitty collection to Acronym’s three-pack of Mids, the cult-followed silhouette has found a way to work itself into the mainstream. Now Nike is hoping to replicate that magic on this new multi-color makeup — and replicate it does, as it draws a hefty likeness to one of the aforementioned Acronym Prestos from 2018.

A simplified version of the collaborative release, the pair looks to the mainstay low model, the pair stays well in its own lane, with staple, plain neoprenes, unadulterated caging, and unchanged soles. Color-wise, the pair employs the exact same hues, but flips the toe and collar placements, and tacks on volt to the liners. Naturally, caging and toe caps forgo the avante-garde Acronym prints in favor of smokey grey, while sole units underfoot are a carbon copy; all-white midsoles join black rubber outsoles, Swooshes and heels — the latter spruced up with an extra pop of volt to complete the design.
