2000’s Nike Air Presto “USA” Sample to See Retail Release

It’s been a long, long time coming, but the mystical Nike Air Presto “USA” sample from 2000 is finally seeing a retail release in what would have likely been part of a Tokyo Games celebration.

Back in 2016, we saw a retail release of the white pair that graced the feet of Olympic athletes in Sydney some 20 years ago, though this is the very first time the fabled Navy option will become available. Like the athlete PE pair, the sample featured circular patterns along the profiles, a winged “USA” crest on the tongue and a semi-translucent “Grey” cage and heel counters. However, instead of a plain white base, this pair dressed the neoprene in faint navy blue, while its midsoles bear a hue more resembling of the name. Further details across the rear and sole units are delivered scarlet and white to ram hone the patriotic theme.

This release is now the fourth national-branded option to arrive in 2020, joining the all-new Korean and Nigeran options, and the equally-legendary Australian pair which also arrived earlier this year.
