Reintroduced to the market late last year, the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo has since appeared in only one other colorway — this month’s “Bred” iteration. Now, as we approach the year’s third month, a third colorway has appeared — and it’s one that diehard fans of the silhouette will fondly remember. Last seen in 2009, the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo “Midnight Navy” will be making a comeback but, like a lot of retro releases of late, it will arrive with a few minor tweaks.
While its classic tumbled white leather build remains, it does arrive with slight changes to its blocking. First looks at the pair do show a significantly darker blue metallic hue along the upper and tongue’s accents. Navy tongue liners are applied over 2009’s silver finish, while blacks at the rear plate and pull replaced by the titular hue. Elsewhere, you can expect a similar status, with semi-translucent blue outsole trim, blue Air supports, and white midsoles underfoot, with navy liners and grey tongue badges completing the design.
A release date for the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo “Midnight Navy” has not yet been announced, though with these product images surfacing online today, you can expect to see a release hit select retailers very, very soon.
