Available Now // Nike Air Trainer 3 “Midnight Navy”

Bo knew it then, and we all know it now — the Nike Air Trainer 3 is a bonafide classic. It was originally released back in 1988, and, thanks to a series of ads featuring the God of athletes Bo Jackson, cemented its sort in the sports training category for years to come. It was welcomed back mid last year in it’s OG “Medicine Ball” colorway, but has since been on hiatus — until now.
This almost-OG rendition is set to arrive at retailers soon, and it brings with it the chunky aesthetic and performance DNA of the late 80s: Perforated leather uppers, plastic heel anchors, midfoot straps and an abundance of overlays sums up the entire trainer category of the era. It’s Midnight Navy, White and Uni Red colors are OG, but it’s blocking is slightly deviated. Upper eyelets are now blue, not red, and the Swoosh’s Navy color is replaced by a Metallic Silver-outlined Red Check. Aside from those minor tweaks, the pair arrives pretty much in-line with the original.
