Celebrating 2006’s first shoe cushioned entirely by air, Nike thought that the best way to celebrate it was to showcase that true full-length cushioning exposed by-way-of their recent VaporMax tech. A new hybrid was born and the VaporMax 360 has since become a favorite amongst sneaker aficionados new and old. From a brief hibernation over the Winter season, we’ve seen a slew of fresh seasonal drops hit shelves — and whilst this new VaporMax 360 “Enigma Stone” doesn’t quite fit in with the current climate, it might be one to keep on ice for the Fall season ahead.
Here, the rubberized upper is anchored down in “Cool Grey” foundation and is wrapped from toe-to-tail in high-sheen “Iron Grey” guards. For the VaporMax sole unit you can expect more of the dark hues to continue, with midsole pieces and outsole traction pads in solid, and Air windows in smokey greys. Adding in some warmth to the steely sneaker is the inclusion of Enigma Stone along the liner, laces and heel clip, and is also found across the raised forefoot detail. Capping off the muted design is an arresting Teal-iridescent Swoosh set resting over the pair’s profile panels.
Take a look through the official set of images here below, and if you’re feeling like an early Fall pickup, the VaporMax 360 “Enigma Stone” is available now, right here on Nike.comfor $225.
In other Nike news, we’ve got our very first looks at the Denham x Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared” collaboration.
