Nike’s new “First Use” collection — a series of sneakers tributing the Swoosh’s official trademark date — has graced a fair few footwear choices thus far, most of which have centered around the classics. But the brand’s new models aren’t exempt, with one of the brand’s newest designs appearing in theme. Enter the Nike Air VaporMax Plus “First Use”, a pair that sports some similarities to the others, but arrives vastly different from anything we’ve previously seen so far.
Anchored in a vibrant golden yellow and black upper, the pair then pumps out its signature smorgasbord of overlays, most of which arrive in black. Nubuck, shaggy suede, and plastic form the bulk, while rich reds work into the mudguard, vamp, and toe. A piercing white Swoosh rests at the center foot and is matched by equally bright laces and retro tongue tags. It’s murkier underfoot, with a fully murdered-out VaporMax Air unit beneath, with only a handful of yellow pops for contrast. Signature to the series, the pair is equipped with final touches like Swoosh history insoles and gold enamel Swoosh lace jewels.
This Nike Air VaporMax EVO “First Use” is yet to receive a confirmed date, but with momentum for the collection mounting, you can expect to learn more on its release soon.
As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates, and until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.
