Nike’s VaporMax hit the streets back in 2017 and in that little time has made a considerable impact on sneaker/street culture. Collaborations with Virgil Abloh, Cactus Plant and Acronym show a profound start for the young silhouette, and with the release of the VaporMax 2020 still months away, the shoe is showing no signs of slowing down. This latest “Grey/Gum” contribution to the ever-expanding VaporMax catalog is a more understated than expected. A grey woven Flyknit covers almost the entire upper and only gives way to the tonal grey rubber heel and an unmissable black swoosh. The Translucent pod-like sole that the VaporMax is famous for has been treated with segmented gum tread on the outer to complete the look.
