Super Sneaks!
With 2019’s Avengers: End Game wrapping up a decade-long obsession with superhero films, you’ just knew there would be a plethora of super-sneakers releasing along the way. From Spider-Man’s Air Jordan 1s last year to Marvel’s continued partnership with adidas, the market has been flooded with Superhero-inspired sneakers for a long while. But as for the top-rated Superhero of all-time? Nada. And while Nike hasn’t officially linked up with Marvel, this “Superman” VaporMax 3 won’t fly under the radar.
Sporting a white and blue woven upper, the pair boasts bold red Swooshes on the profile, countered by black at the heels and underfoot. Royal blue is ushered in on the VaporMax sole unit and toe cap, while regal metallic silver adorns the tongue detail. a solid stripe of bold gold-yellow hits the heels, and — if you look close enough — between the ribbed uppers, you’ll notice a subtle golden weave peering through, much like the iconic visuals of Clack Kent busting open his civilian clothes to reveal a golden logo beneath.
