Nike’s Air Max “City Special” collection is tacking on another installment, with this VaporMax Plus “Atlanta” offering the latest in the colorful series.
Adopting a familiar ATL colorway — seen on both the overarching Atlanta Olympic Games theme and 2017’s city-celebrating Nike Air More Uptempo — the pair arrives in an arresting Mystic Green and Gold combo. The former engulfs the majority of the sneaker, with greens working back to blacks in a gradient finish on the upper, while solid hues hit the lace cages, laces, midsole, and outsole traction pads. Metallic gold gears-up the tongue tag, metal mini Swoosh, and ATL tag at the ankle, and the pair is completed by a translucent VaporMax air unit, the pack’s customary “City Special” insole tags, and a special-edition pin.
Originally thought to be a Gradeschool-exclusive collection, an official Nike.com listing of these, along with the accompanying “City Special” collection, has arrived, confirming pairs for a February 26th release (now postponed until further notice)
