Last Spring, we welcomed the return of the Nike Air VaporMax Plus after a short hiatus via a slew of vibrant colorways filling up the calendar for the sunny seasons. Naturally, the silhouette saw a dip over the Fall/Winter season, but as we’ve turned the page on a new year, the bare-Air sneaker has shown itself in new and exciting colorways, including this second iteration of the Nike VaporMax Plus “Since ’72” — a series that celebrates both Nike’s 50th birthday bash, and the Spring/Summer season in which it is intended to release.
Though it arrives in identical hues to the first-revealed pair, this follow-up release flips things around by employing a colorful neoprene upper and bright white base. Here, the upper employees an Air Max Plus-like gradient finish, working from sunny yellow toes to bright sky blues in the back. Pops of crimson work at the vamp lacestay and heel pull, and comes completed by translucent-mint midfoot caging and VaporMax outsoles, metallic silver Swoosh detailing, and retro-inspired motifs atop its striking yellow insoles.
Take an official look at this second-up Nike VaporMax Plus “Since ’72” here below, and expect to see these hit select Swoosh stockists over the Sring/Summer season. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
