Last Spring, we welcomed the return of the Nike Air VaporMax Plus after a short hiatus via a slew of vibrant colorways filling up the calendar for the sunny seasons. Naturally, the silhouette saw a dip over the Fall/Winter season, but as we’ve turned the page on a new year, the bare-Air sneaker has shown itself in new and exciting colorways, the next of which, the Nike VaporMax Plus “Since ’72”, celebrates both Nike’s 50th birthday bash, and the Spring/Summer season in which it is intended to release.
Likely forming part of a wider Nike Sportswear collection that celebrates the aforementioned events, the pair comes clad in a seasonal-friendly whit neoprene, with summery hues of yellow and infrared met by calming spring hues of light mint, soft teal, and bright blue along the caging and soles. The pair is then capped off with retro-inspired, what appears to be carnival-like motifs atop its striking yellow insoles.
