Spring 2021 welcomed the return of the Nike Air VaporMax Plus after a short hiatus, with a slew of vibrant colorways filling up the calendar for the sunny seasons. Naturally, the silhouette saw a dip over the Fall/Winter season, but as we’re now deep into the new year, the bare-Air sneaker has shown itself in new and exciting colorways. The next to appear is more minimal in its color blocking, but what it loses in complexity, it makes up for in pop.

Anchored in a piercing white neoprene upper, tonal high-gloss caging, toe caps, and midsoles, the release sets a fairly startling tone from the get-go. Rich red pulls and mini Swooshes add life, with chilling blue tints applied to the VaporMax sole unit which both serve as a standalone feature and highlight the shocking whites directly above. And, though it’s not a traditional USA scheme, it would definitely not be out of place at any FOurth of July cookout.
