It appears that seldom-seen decorative embroidery is on the comeback with even more options joining a special flora collection focused around the Nike Blazer and Air Force 1. After previewing the aforementioned silhouettes in their “Pomegranate” duds, the Blazer and Uptown return adorning a new plant species, Indigofera Tinctoria — commonly known as True Indigo.
For this the second Indigo Blazer to appear, we see a flower-bearing branch stitched over the top of a full white canvas-constructed sneaker. As the plant is one of the original sources of indigo dye, it’s only natural that Nike would include the blueish hue on the release. Though it differs greatly from the accustomed navy dye seen on the first-previewed pair, it still arrives in an ultra-light naturally blue hue at the Swoosh and rear paneling. The latter arrives with embroidered facts on the fruit, including the scientific name, where it’s commonly found, and more. Cork tongue tags and rear overlays match those found on the recently-revealed Air Max 90 “Cork”while collection-consistent cinder rubber outsoles and dubraes complete the design.
