Nike Running took 2025 as an opportunity to revamp its Road Running lineup, consolidating franchises and offering different experiences at three different price points. It seems the team's efforts have also inspired brand-new silhouettes, bringing some of its Elite athlete-approved findings to the masses at a more affordable level. Case in point?: The Comfort Ride EasyOn.

At quick glance, the design resembles the innovative, experimental Nike Vomero Premium, one of the Swoosh's most-cushioned shoes to date. Closer inspection confirms similarities to the top-of-the-line performance model, but reveals differences that keep costs down without sacrificing an enjoyable ride.

An official e-commerce description for the product doesn't unveil the type of foam compound used in the Comfort Ride, but an image of sneaker's outsole reveals a Duralon compound. The material is softer and more flexible than typical rubber tread, adding to the mattress-like stack of what's likely EVA foam across the midsole. "Pucks" of cushioning are strategically placed underneath the forefoot, at the center of the mid-foot, and at the hind-foot, ensuring the foot presses down on a smooth, cushioned platform for cloud-like comfort. The presentation isn't too dissimilar from what's found on the aforementioned Nike Vomero, although the Premium offering includes more expensive ZoomX foam and Zoom Air technology.

Elsewhere, the run-walk-friendly design features a breathable, padded textile upper, supportive mid-foot system, and a collapsible EasyOn Tailgate integrated at the heel for hands-free on-and-off action.

Firm Nike.com release details for the Comfort Ride silhouette haven't been shared by the brand as of yet, but that's likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the "Light Silver" style ahead. Additional "Black/Grey," "Phantom," and "Sequoia" styles are expected over the next few months.
