Unlike the Nike Cortez, few sneakers have bridged the gap between sport and style. Once a performance running shoe, the model has long since been claimed by Los Angeles streetwear culture, with its timeless silhouette now extending across signature models like the Nike Book 1. The Cortez returns in a “Bred” colorway that blends bold heritage hoops influence with lifestyle appeal.
This newest edition embraces a sleek black leather upper, contrasted by a bright red tumbled leather Swoosh and heel tab. A red Nike logo on the tongue and a muted black Nike heel stamp bring further definition, while a crisp white midsole and jagged black rubber outsole complete the look. It’s a color scheme rooted in Nike’s legacy, but tailored for everyday wear.
Though no release date has been announced, the Nike Cortez "Bred" is expected to launch via Nike.com and select retailers later this year.
