Nike Give the Cortez a Vintage Burnish Finish

Coming in collaborative and traditional tooling, the Nike Cortez has had a solid start to 2023 — a year that sees the silhouette celebrating a belated 50th birthday. For it's next, Nike gets a little experimental, as the team at Beaverton has applied a vintage burnish finish to the heritage runner.

Here, a beetroot red upper is burnt towards its extremities, with a gradual fad to black toes, Swooshes, heels, and eyestays. Breaking the burnt hues is a bright cream tongue, lace, liner, and heel overlay combo up top and a streak on the midsole wedge. The latter sits stowed within a maroon rubber casing, with branding at the tongue, insole, and heel also proffering a beetroot hue.
