Nike Running has come a long way since 1972, but the mileage-obsessed division continues to honor the Cortez—one of its earliest performance-runners for the masses—in the modern era.
Ahead of summer, the vintage design has emerged in an all-new "Celestine Blue/Pinksicle/Metallic Silver/Sail" color scheme exclusively offered in Women's sizing. The pair's color-blocking isn't too dissimilar to what's been offered by Nike Sportswear over the last two decades, but the style features a fashionable knit trim around profile swooshes. Shimmering hardware in the form of lace dubraes and upper-most eyelets also inject personality into the 53-year-old silhouette, which maintains its tried-and-proven tooling underfoot.
Enjoy official photos of the "Celestine Blue" Cortez below. Pairs should hit Nike.com by the end of summer.
