The Nike Cortez Returns in White, Black and Photo Blue

Significantly overshadowed by the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1, the Nike Cortez has seen a low-key celebration of its five-decade life. Aside from special collaborations from the likes of sacai and Union LA, the silhouette has rarely been seen in 2022. But before the year winds down, we’re finally beginning to see what will likely be the start of an extensive run of releases, with this new Nike Cortez appearing today by way of official Nike.com imagery.

Anchored in a classic white leather construct the pair looks to simple finishes like black leather Swooshes and sail tints applied to the sole unit and laces. The former is struck with a striking blue insert at the heel, joining red Swooshes at the tongue as the pair’s only instances of color saturation.
