Nikeas of late has been on a tangent of bringing back some icons from the golden era of the 70’s, such as the Nike Tailwind 79 which has seen a plethora releases in 2020. But now its the Nike Daybreak’s turn to capture retro consumers’ attention with a re-tweak of an OG.
Taking inspiration from the aforementioned Tailwind 79, the Daybreak uses similar lines throughout its construction. The upper displays an array of materials but at its core is “Teal Tint” semi-translucent TPU that presents a modern twist, while “Sail” nubuck overlays the toebox, lace stays, and heel to result in a unique textured appeal. At the pair’s foundation sits white midsoles and a classic black rubber outer sole, completing the design is “Midnight Navy” fat-bellied swoosh and OG branding located on the tongue and heel.
An official Nike.com release is yet to be specified, but you can already find pairs floating around here on eBayfor close to the MSRP of $90.
