Believe it or not, there was a time where the Nike Dunk was a readily-available option on Nike.com — even gracing the Swoosh’s DIY customizable platform known as Nike iD back in the day. It’s hard to fathom, considering that these days it’s a grueling task to secure the most basic of general releases. It’s been at least half a decade since both the Dunk Low and Dunk High were pulled from the platform, but today we have word that the silhouette will be returning to the customizable platform.
These screenshots captured by quick-handed sneaker sleuths have revealed Nike’s plans for the Dunk Low to return to the Nike By You (formerly Nike iD) customization platform with a $120 price tag. Seemingly pushed live in error, the options have since been removed from the official Nike store, but from the options previewed below, there appears to be multiple blocking and color options available — perfect for Franchise-themed colorways and otherwise.
With the accidental push, it does appear that the program will return sooner rather than later, so be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further developments over the coming days and weeks.
Update 01.04.21 Nike has now pushed their Dunk By You platform live, so you can head on over to Nike.com to start customizing pairs now. A purchase date has been earmarked for 12 noon ET on January 7th, though the date is still to officially be confirmed. Until then, you can go and get creating, save your designs ready for the program to become fully available!Nike Dunk Low By You (Nike iD)
