Revealed back in June as part of Nike and Jordan Brand‘s plans for All-Star Weekend 2021, the Nike Dunk High “All-Star” is just one of several sneakers that will be celebrating the events (expected to be) held in Indianapolis, Indiana next year. Though the certainty of the Weekend is dire, the planned sneaker releases appear to be going ahead, with this the third officially unveiled pair this month.
Though it does take on a similar aesthetic to Jordan Brand’s releases, this too takes on hi-gloss black patent leather overlays. But opposed to striking white, Nike opts for a soft “Barely Green” as the complementary color — a color also listed on the expected Foamposite release for the weekend. Here, it’s found on the tumbled leather uppers, laces, and tongue tag, while whites remain present underfoot at the midsole. Completing the design is an All-Star Weekend holographic ankle badge that’s slightly tinted in the aforementioned green.
A release date for this “All-Star” Nike Dunk High did not accompany the official image set below, but with a chance that the events in Indiana may be canceled for 2021 — and with the official images available so far out from the originally-scheduled February-March release — you may well see a release of the Nike Dunk High “All-Star” much soon than anticipated.Update 01.24.21 After surfacing last year in GS sizes, official images of the Nike Dunk High “All-Star” have now arrived in Adults sizing.Update 01.25.20 According to sneaker-sleuth @brandon1an, pairs of Nike Dunk High “All-Star” will now be arriving on March 9th, a month later than its originally-scheduled February 11th release.
