As is the case for almost every Nikeclassic silhouette, the Nike Dunk High is not immune to a total design overhaul. Like the prevalent Air Force 1 Low Shadow, this new ladies-exclusive Nike Dunk High Rebel silhouette gets heavy-handed on deconstructed double-layering.

Undoubtedly inspired by the works of Chitose Abe and her sacai x Nike footwear designs, the pair presents with doubled-up overlays at the toe and quarter. Swooshes also get a double-dip, though in a munch more minimal fashion than the aforementioned sacai style. Here, it’s merely an overlay of embroidery on the lateral side. Eyestay overlays extend well over the forefoot, and its vamp cap is removed, while the signature collar stitching now works its way onto the mid panel. All of this rests atop a redesigned sole unit, one which is both streamlined and heightened for the female foot.

This “Chasemere” colorway is the first of many to follow and is expected to be this Summer, though no specifics have surfaced.
