Nike Dunk High Rebel “Iron Purple” Arrives September 21st

With the demand for retro 80s hoops shoes at unprecedented heights, it should come as no surprise that Nike has thrust a large emphasis on the Nike Dunk design in order to quench the market’s thirst. With such saturation, the Swoosh aims to diversify the design through both Highs and Lows (and even Mids), as well as redesigns like the Dunk Low Disrupt and the all-new ladies-exclusive Nike Dunk High Rebel.

Since its unveiling earlier this week, the new model has hit the ground running, with a third and fourth debut colorway appearing by way of official images today. This one, dubbed the Nike Dunk High Rebel “Iron Purple”, tones things right down from its previous palettes by presenting in a simple sail, beige, and muted lavender arrangement. Sail upper house doubled-up overlays at the toe and quarter, with Swooshes also getting a double-dip, though it’s merely an overlay of embroidery on the lateral side. Eyestay overlays extend well over the forefoot, and its vamp cap is removed, while the signature collar stitching now works its way onto the mid panel. All of this rests atop a redesigned sole unit, one which is both streamlined and heightened for the female foot.

This “Iron Purple” colorway is the next of many more to follow and is expected to be this Summer, though no specifics have surfaced.
