Whether it be subtle insole graphics or fully-fledged Lakers themes, the Nike Dunk is not shy about celebrating the facets of the game that built it. Just recently, the silhouette celebrated the outdoor game with a colorful “I Got Next” rendition, and now it looks to celebrate basketball once more, with this Nike Dunk High “Satin” surfacing by way of official Nike.com imagery.

Though its official inspiration is unclear, its use of silky overlays and striking 80s/90s hues would indicate that these may well be influenced by retro tracksuits worn at the local rec league. Furthermore, it’s fitted with basketball-textured Swooshes, net-like tongues, ribbed liners like those seen in the cuff and collar of retro jackets, and athletic apparel tongue tags — complete with a basketball motif. Color-wise, a tumbled white leather base and white tongue anchor the pair, before the titular textile dressed the overlays in a striking royal blue hue. It’s joined by black laces, Swooshes, and press stud heel pulls, with sherbert orange liners and volt outsoles rounding out the design.

Though the concrete inspiration is not yet known it will likely be revealed soon with an official statement from the brand.
