Nike is keeping the punk energy alive in 2025 with its latest Dunk Low, adding another rebellious design to its growing collection of mosh pit-inspired sneakers. Following the reveal of the button-covered "Dunks Not Dead" and a CBGB-dedicated pair, this newest iteration takes a less direct approach but still carries unmistakable influences from the punk movement.
The sneaker starts with a soft "Doll" pink upper, laying the foundation for the abovementioned chaos. Acid-wash-style canvas overlays in brown and pink create a distressed, worn-in look that feels straight out of a vintage thrift shop. A burnt orange Swoosh and heel overlay bring even more contrast while matching laces add to the disorderly aesthetic. Underfoot, the look is grounded by a brown and gum sole unit, giving the design a classic touch despite its raw, unconventional upper.
What truly cements the punk influence are the Sex Pistols-style Nike logos found on the heels and insoles—an unmistakable nod to the era of rebellion and DIY fashion. It’s an unconventional, rough-around-the-edges take on the Dunk Low, fitting right in with Nike’s recent string of alternative, rock-inspired releases.
Expect the Nike Dunk Low "Punk" to be released in Summer/Fall 2025 via Nike.com and select retailers.
