Nike continues to take strides in the fusion of fashion and function, proving their prowess with the unveiling of the Nike Dunk Low "Anthracite."
The sneaker's striking design hints at a more expansive collection, reminiscent of a recently unveiled Air Force 1 with a similarly distinct aesthetic.
The forthcoming Nike Dunk Low borrows a page from its Air Force 1 counterpart's book, capitalizing on the greyscale palette and use of reflective elements. The shoe's design pushes the boundaries of conventional aesthetics with a thoughtfully designed blend of materials and colors.
The Dunk Low's all-charcoal base serves as an ideal backdrop for contrasting textures. The upper, constructed from grey ripstop material, boasts a matte finish that elevates the sneaker's appearance and function for the forthcoming months. Complementing this is matte leather overlays of a shade more closely aligned to the pair's title.
Breaking things up significantly is a reflective white Swoosh; The emblem cuts across the charcoal base, a luminescent silver that comes alive under direct light and stands out against the subdued backdrop.
The monochrome midsole adheres to the grey-toned theme, maintaining a seamless transition from upper to lower. However, a twist in the design comes in the form of the outsole, which sees a shift from the tonal grey to an icy blue rubber — a perfect juxtaposition that adds a fresh pop to the otherwise muted color palette.
See for yourself below, and expect to see these release on Nike.com on November 14th for $125.
