Nike keeps the academic spirit alive with its latest addition to the fictional college-themed collection – introducing a third installment of the Nike Dunk Low "Athletic Department."
This rendition of the Nike Dunk Low "Athletic Department" showcases a straightforward yet effective color scheme. The base features a clean white leather upper that extends to the overlays, exuding a pure and traditional athletic sneaker aesthetic. This simple foundation allows for the rich forest green accents to truly take center stage. Here, it makes its appearance through the suede Swoosh and heel overlays, with inner liners and tongue branding also echoing the same green hue.
But the nostalgia doesn't end there; Nike's recent infatuation with the neo-vintage look finds its way into this pair with sail-tinted midsoles and laces.
Lastly, stowed within, are special graphic insoles that evoke the heritage of a storied — though fictional — athletic department. Rounding off the design, a green rubber outsole ensures both durability and traction while effortlessly tying in with the overall theme.
A release for the Nike Dunk Low “Athletic Department” has just been set for October 1st by retailers JD Sports and Finish Line, followed by a release on Nike.com on November 10.
