When the new year rolls around, the sneaker world shifts its focus to both Chinese New Year and Black History Month celebrations. Of course, it should come as no surprise that the Nike Dunkwill be headlining both annual collections early next year, and having already previewed the former’s mismatch form in great detail, we finally get an indication as to what the 2021 Nike Dunk Low “BHM” will be.
Visualized mock-ups provided by @ph__community show that the 2020 BHM Dunk will once again utilize a thematic that includes traditional prints, vibrant hues, and earthy accentuations. The expected release is tipped to feature uppers of purple — suede at the toe, canvas at the ankle —with colorful geometric beacon prints at the mid panel. Tumbled leather overlays arrive in black, and come tacked on with exposed contrast stitching that ostensibly channels traditional garb. Swoosh and heel overlays appear in rough-cut suede, with frayed edges furthering the ancestral aesthetic. Completing the design is a crisp white midsole, gum rubber outsole, and a set of tan laces.
Grab a look at the visualized release here below, and expect to see a first in-hand look soon. Until then, make sure you give us a follow on Twitterfor all further updates as we edge closer to its release in February.
