The Nike Dunk’s college roots run deep. In fact, they were originally called the “College Color High” by designer Peter Moore, and were used as the key factor in Nike’s ability to sign a slew of national colleges in the period. The University of Michigan, University of Kentucky, University of Iowa, Syracuse, St. John’s, UNLV, and Georgetown were those signed, and the rest was history. Ever since, the colleges have been celebrated, with everything from Air Jordan PEs to OG Dunk Highs and Lows. Now it’s time to return to its roots with the Nike Dunk Low “Goldenrod” the next OG-inspired release to resurface.
Appearing for the first time today, we see a simply-blocked pair in its most basic of builds; Titular Goldenrod overlays rest atop a black leather upper in true Hawkeyes tune, while a classic white midsole and golden-yellow outsole rest underfoot. Completing the design is Nike’s signature orange Air branding on the insole.
